Have had a play with air box pipes, so gonna have a cuppa and give it a go. I'll let you know how it went. If still not right will take petcock off tomorrow.

When necessary to drain the fuel tank, may do so by removing the existing fuel hose from petcock and connecting another length of hose to the petcock, and then drain the tank into a gas can.

Electrical can also have a similar dead spot, that actually acts like using a kill-switch.

If the coils are bad, or if the plug gap is too wide, or if the advancer is stuck, you can get those exact symptoms... fine until large throttle opening under load, then cuts off until throttle is closed downward.

Just to update on this running problem, which is now sorted, running well and revs all the way out.:evil: Turned out it was the jets, and it was actually over jetted! Still kept me amused for the week I guess! So god knows what the previous owner was thinking!
