strange new development

if i blow through the overflow tubes on my 84 kz 700 it starts right up what gives? other wise it take forever to start

Because you probably have dirty pilot jets, a restricted enrichening circuit, and/or a vacuum leak at the intake manifold. Blowing into the vents forces gas into the venturi area somewhere, and that gas then burns. Clean and synch the carbs carefully and it should start better.

i know where the jet is but how do i get to the pilot jet and how can i unrestrict the enriching circut. Also i dont know if its related but when choked the bikie idles extreamly high

Your manual should have all the necessary things to check for adjustments. Sounds like they need a good cleaning.

+1 on sea foam. Was a godsend on my varnished up old carbs. Even took the carbon off the intake valves.
(Mostly) 1976 KZ750 Twin in a (Mostly) 1978 KZ200 frame (dont ask me what I was thinking)

thanks for the replys ill try the seafoam, as far as the manual i have one on order for a 750 as i was told they are the same but no dice on one for a 700. Thanks again
