6 years ago I make a manifold out of 1 inch copper tubing that fit right into the carb boots on my 650 and have been riding it ever since. I used a Zenith Stromberg carb from an Austin Healy though. The pics for it were in the forum archive. But, I can't find the archive here. I'll see if I can find them on my computer and repost them.

Easy to fab a manifold out of round aluminum tubing. I had a manifold made a few years ago to run a 40mm Weber carb on my KZ900. It worked so well that I had another manifold made to run dual 40mm Webers on my dragbike. I still have the manifold for the single Weber somewhere in the garage. If I can find the manifold I'll post a picture in the next few days.

are there considerable power gains or anything going to one carb? I was just thinking of less tunning.

Like I said, I did mine for less tuning too.
I'm not going to call it "power", but I picked up a "smoothness" in the running of the engine that gives it better acceleration in lower speeds than it had before. In my mind I attribute that to all 4 cylinders getting that same mixture all the time.

kawasaki engineered these engines to run on 4 carbs. With 1 carb you are going to lose performance. At small throttle openings it will probably be smoother but you will lose performance.
