Reading plugs assistance
25 Apr 2011 14:29
I'd like to say I'm colorblind and can't read plugs, but in reality I'm just borderline stupid.
Anyways, 1-4 from left to right. I just added dunstall replica slip ons and turned my pilot screws 1/2 out from the stock setting.
I'd say #2 might be a little lean but the others have a nice chocolate color brown?

That's what it looks like. #2 might be a shade leaner, but probably good enough to run with.

looks like u have a lot of miles on those plugs. dont go by color , go by how it feels. if it feel smooth through accell u are good to go. u cant tell by color unless u run several miles on new plugs at the same throttle opening.then u can adjust that jet only.
1 plug being a dif color could be from them being out of sink.
do a vacuum sync test.

Those plugs look just fine. If you're worried about it, add an 1/8th of turn more fuel to the screws on both inside cylinders, and perform a vacuum sync.
Recheck plugs after a several miles.
Peace.

Took it for a spin yesterday... she coughed and fought me quite a bit at first, but I really didn't let it warm up too much. Once it was warm it ran fine and dandy. It was only about 55 deg and it has been getting into the 30's overnight, so I'd expect it could have needed a bit more warm up time.
And yeah, the plugs do have about 3k on them. I drive it to work whenever possible, which is a 44 mile one way trip.
