running lean

finally did a 'run @ 55 for 3 min, kill and read plugs' test

3 and 4 look a beautifull tan amd identical

1 and 2 are white in the same ammount

shall i turn the air screw on 1 and 2 in a quarter turn and do another test run or...

could this be a sync issue because its both 1 and 2 running lean equally

i synced the carbs and it runs rly smoooth, i rly cant see it being a sync issue

what do u think?

But, would first perform clear tube test to assure fuel height in float bowls isn't too low and thereby causing a too lean condition in the pilot circuit.

cant see it being a sync issue --- agreed, provided the bench sync was properly performed, and the subsequent running sync has not lowered slides excessively in #1 and #2 carbs as compared to #3 and #4.

Good Fortune! :)
