Right now it's just going to be pods with a stock exhaust. They say it should be just two sizes above stock jet sizes.

As I understand it Martin's figures are correct for the US models, while other markets certainly Canada, had the following mains 102.5. I have created a table of the carbs that came stock on which models with their respective internals from various parts lists that I have been able to find. I will say I can not prove the information is 100% correct, but I am pretty confident that it is very close. I have attached it to this post.

Well ok... I've decided all i am doing is pods for right now. So what would you recommend me doing for main jets, and pilot jets. Also do i need to change out the needle jets or what?

so would running 100 mains be ok with just the pod modification? Also when does the nettle jet, need to be changed, or Needle need washers?

Try raising the needles and idle mixture screws first.

Ok you do that by adding the shims? and if I do that, will I have to undo what I've done when I do upgrade to the exhaust?

When I started messin with my 81 650csr the mains were 106's with the airbox, and Martin's right you can raise the needles stacking plastic washers under the clip, with open air cleaners I ended up runnin anywhere from 112-116 and thats with a 4 into one header.
