Hi all am new here.

I am building a big bore 750 and am looking to put bigger carbs on it.

What are the recommended upgrade? from which bike?

Ok here is what I am running.

810 big bore with raised compression. Fully ceramic coated

The head is shaved. coated and ported. stock valves

big set of Web cams and an exhaust.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I know some guys who put the Mikuni VM26SS Round Slide carbs from the Kz900/Kz1000's on there. Haven't done it personally so I can't speak to performance.

Ok have done a little more research. Its a 1990 model 750 zephyr.
It has on it now a set of keihin CVK32's

Now the GPZ750's came out with Mikuni 36's

Should I switch to the Mikuni or go and fit a race set of factory pro jets to the keihins?

yeah the newer motors have a lot bigger ports than the older 650/750s.

So should I stick with the kehein 32's or chase up a set of Mikuni 36's?

ive seen a lot bigger motors run really well on smaller carbs than 36s myself.
my 1327 runs really well with an old set of 33 smoothbores,i know of a really good running 1385 with 36 flatslides but thats just my experiance anyway. B)

Cool I will just jet up the ones I have and go with that for now.. And if they don't keep up then I'll look at going bigger. Maybe then fuel inj in stead.
