Yeah... what cams? Lift? porting? what head? exhaust?

How you gonna ride it? Where do you want it to make the most power? Low, mid, high?

my friend had a 1260, and the 33's were way better they did not have the gulp of air like they do on a 1075 and they made a diffence on his quaTER MILE TIME over the 29's and streetability was still good. 33vm can be had way cheap compared to the 29's sell the 29's on ebay and get some vm 33's for half the price or get some cr specials new for not much more, i sold my 29's for 632 a few weeks back.

I know this is "apples & oranges", But, I figure at 1197, You should be able to swing 36mm CV "slingshot's" (ala GSXR 750-1100/GSF1200 ) Schnits (sp) racing sells intake man's to fit. easier to tune & Much more "tractible" than 33 smoothbores. they're easily aveil. & fairly cheap, they're amenable to "head work/flowing" (strongly recommended). the biggest drawback is filters will cost almost as much as a rack of carbs. (I went from 33 smoothies on a GS1164 (flowed &cammed) picked up @ 5hp & is "seamless" 2 cents G
