Float needle valve ?
21 Feb 2011 05:51
I have a 1982 kz750 h3 LTD that I rebuilt the carbs . I lost a wire clip for one of the needle valves for the float . The only solution that I can come up with is to buy a 6 pack of needle valves off of Z1 " which I would hate to I just replaced the needle valves when I did the rebuild " or just leave it out . My question is would it hart to leave it out ? I can not see a real purpose for it . They are so loose that they just barely open the valve like 100th of a hair . Please do not slam me on this one this is my first carb rebuild and I would use an old one but they just fell apart when I tried to remove them . Her is a pic from Z1 if it would help .

I think I would just make one out of a shredded twist-tie! :woohoo: or not...
Otherwise... try them all with or all without. You dont want to create a difference on one carb that might throw things off a bit, always do it to all.
Good luck.

Sound advice.
If you must have that little wire then I have a couple of old needles with wire attached which you are welcome to. They are from Keihin CV34 carbs on my 1980 754/4 E1 Just PM me with a mailing address. Canada post is not the fastest so I would guess maybe a week to 10 day to PA
