Kz 750 jetting ?'S

Hi i got a 1980 Kz 750 4 cyclinder. I got it stock the way it is with a kerker 4 into 1 pipe and i put 4 pods on it for intakes. I rode it the other day and it was only 40 degrees out and ran decent. Any body have any suggestion on jetting maybe? neccesary? maybe change neetle height?. I live 0-600 ft above sealevel I have a service book i havent read anything in it yet i was wondering if anyone had a similiar slight mod into their bikes.

Read that manual.
Kerker was not stock on that bike.
If it ran "O-K" then someone might have already rejeted.
Check the Filebase for tables on jetting.

I have probably the same bike. 1980 kz750/4 E1 model with Keihin CV34 carbs. I have a Mac 4->1 exhaust. Like Nebr_Rex says if running ok then perhaps PO rejetted.

Stock jetting (airbox and 4->2 exhaust) are primary main 62 and secondary main 125. When I had individual K&N pods I eventually found that upping the primary main to 70 and upping the secondary main to 140 worked really well. The bike ran strong with this combo. With this jetting I think I had the mixture screws at 2 turns out from lightly seated.
if you need jets Z1 Enterprises sell the Keihin jets. Just type "Keihin" in their search box and while they dont list the smaller jets they do carry them.

Last year I put an airbox on the bike and jetted down a bit. Not because of any issues but because I am moving towards a more stock look.

PS I dont think the needle height is adjustable. Did'nt need adjsutment anyway.

i looked on Z1 and couldnt find smaller jets??

Like I said they dont list the smaller jets but they do carry them. Give em a call or send an email. They are good guys and very helpfull
