Boiling Jets
28 Jan 2011 16:08
I'm having a hard time getting my pilot and main jet clean. I'm thinking about boiling them like I did with my carb bodies. Is it ok to boil them for an extended period of time? Any chance in harming them?

Try using paint brush cleaner. They have it any Lowes or Home Depot. Don't confuse it with paint thinner, it's meant for cutting hardened and dried paints. It seems to eat thru the varnish on dirty jets pretty quickly.

I boiled mine in lemon juice and water in the carb bodies. It didn't hurt them.
