Carb Slide assembly

I'm rebuilding my carbs, and referencing the factory service manual. I removed the top end of the carbs and after some seriously stuck carb slides, they finally came out with some carb cleaner. Now the service manual doesn't reference and plastic or rubber washers or O-rings in the assembly, so I thought I would skip taking it all apart and just clean it with carb cleaner. I then stumbled upon Paul Musser's carb rebuild guide which shows a version of the assembly with a plastic washer and spacer? I noticed that 2 of the needles seem slightly loose and wiggle in the throttle valve. 2 of them are slightly stiff. I'm hoping I didn't mess anything up with the carb cleaner. I would take it apart now to check but 2 screws holding the throttle valve bracket are stuuuuck, and I'm worried about stripping it.
Can anyone shed any light on whether or not I've wrecked something?

the two that are stiff need loosening.....try to get the slides back in the bores they came from....removing and replacing needle back in slide takes some concentration...

Those look great, I hope mine turn out even close to that nice. Have you removed the clip from the needle? I'm just worried that there are plastic washers and spacers that I messed up with carb cleaner.

removing the clip from the needle isnt a biggee....there is a small plastic piece up in there but you should be good.....disassembling the innards up inside the slide is the worst part......once you get that down, the rest is a piece of cake.....if you have a fair amount of mechanical ability, all this can be done.......need help?...shout out.....you will get all the help you need on this site....
