carb sizing
24 Nov 2010 13:10
Picked up a nice set of Mikuni slide valves for my Yammy Radian rebuild/resto.Supposedly came off a Yammy FZR 600.Problem is, I dont know what size they are and the carbs dont have the size on them. I do know that Yamaha put Mik 30mm and 32mm on these bikes. Miked at the engine side throat, the carbs are 28mm i.d. and 32mm o.d., so assume these are 32mm Miks.Am I correct or should I measure somewhere else. Also got the Fazer cams so I think I will put a little more pop in the bike while I got it down.Thnx in advance.bj

And don't know why it would be described as 30mm carb.
Good Fortune!

OK thanks,Patton. Will put them on and see what happens. I assume that if it is too much carb for the bike I will be able to notice it immediately. Thanks again.bj
