Different Petcocks?

Question:

I have a 76kz900

Im looking to buy a new petcock.


what type is the best? Ive seen Z1 I know their parts


Im curious though, when I google KZ parts, I get very little resources.

I can understand, but does is the kz900 petcock specific or can I just buy one that has a 22mm thread?

Does it have to be NOS or are there other petcocks that would fit but arent advertised to fit specifically for the kz900.

Give Z1E a call. They have a cheap one for under 15 bucks and they have pingles for around 75 bucks if I recall correctly. Neither are stock but either will work. You might try ebay too but Z1E would be my first place to look. Hope this helps

call Rob at Z1-entprises ...he can sell you the right one with his eyes closed and you can pick up a oil filter and a few knick knacks to help offset shipping one item.......the 15 buck one works fine for a stock kz900 ..i have one on mine 2-3 yrs...no leaks and i turn it on and off all the time..shiny...good quality too...should cost 40 but they sell em for -15

Z1E used to have (not sure if they do still or not) a replica petcock for the Kz900. I bought it and have not had any issues with it. It looks right and works - same dual exit. I can't seem to find it on the site anymore, though...
