I use a set of gauges just like those in the link below and they work fine. I had a cheap set that were not very good (1 gauge was way off).

i'm not opposed to spending 150 if it will be a great set right?

but like in my old days trades,we'd tell anew guy...you dont need a 50 dollar hammer to work for the summer.... but,hey kid dont buy a 5 dollar one either...get a good one for 25-30 and learn to swing it......buy one of these...and only this(show him my hammer ect)...and the next day he'd come back with a 5 dollar hammer....lol

example.......lol

so i dont know shyt about sync tools......

just to repeat...those old school carb styx are yesterdays tools?

i am not being cheap here ...i will spring.....i just have 0% knowledge here.... thanks so much

The gauges in the eBay listing look just like mine. I got mine from my buddy when he wrecked his Valkyrie and bought a Harley, I don’t know where he got them or what he paid. I tested them by hooking them up and writing down the readings at idle then switching the hoses to different carbs to see if the readings remained consistent regardless of which gauge was attached. I had done this same test with El Cheepo gauges I had before and it showed 1 gauge read high no matter which carb it was attached to. Here are some pics of mine so you can see the dials better than the eBay listing:

nice tip..plummen hadf me looking at a set of j.c whitney vacume dail ones a while back too i just remebered..have you used the cyber cycle set.....i'm still leaning towards the dail type but i know that folks have done good work with carb stick types too....price is not the biggest factor ...as much as having the right stuff with it...i would not really know without hindsight which one had the righht stuff...thanks for that tip stoneman
