Hard pulling carb slides - 1982 550 LTD - TK22
27 Aug 2010 18:24
Hi everyone,
So I did the lemon juice cleaning method... However I got some problems now. Once I got things put back together, I noticed the slides move a lot harder now. I stupidly threw the slides in the lemon juice witht he carb bodies. I figure I can use some polish and smooth up the bore on the carb bodies, but the finish is a little roughed up on my slides themselves. Anyone have any ideas other than just polish the heck out of them or get different slides?
