air jet removal, 29mm

Hey guys, need some help. I am rebuilding some 29mm smoothbores. All is going great, but I am worried about replacing the tiny air jets (part number BS 30/97 .09).
Is there a secret to getting these little buggers out?
Thanks for any help.

The correct fitting screwdriver is the key.

You can spray some liquid wrench down in the passage and let it soak over night to help you out.

Don't round the heads off on those jets whatever you do.

If you can't get them out, pull the needle jets out and spray carb cleaner through the air jet, then blow it out with compressed air.

I sacrificed a much larger flat blade screwdrive to grind down the sides of the blade to exactly the right size.

Jeff,
I did the same. Some sacrifices are simply necessary for the good of all men (and motorcycles).

use some PB Blaster or some Liquid Wrench penetrating oil first and + 3 on the screw driver alteration
