kz550 ltd, i have the top off but have no idea how to remove the slide and the shop manual isnt helping???

The throttle shaft assembly and its myriad parts must come out first.

P.S.
That diagram is for the VM29. I suspect you have the 24 or 26 which will be slightly different.
