Carburettor Cleaning + MISSING CHOKE FLAPS

I am cleaning my carbs on my 81 KZ550.
Three of my choke flaps are missing.
Somebody suggested closing the choke holes
off will a home made metal flap and epoxy.
Sounds like a temp fix to me. Does anyone
know how to do it another way or have
any ideas. I'm just trying to fix it to last.
Youtube vids? Here is what it looks like. It won't let me post my picture??

that seems to be a very common problem with these TK 22's... i am missing one myself, but i left it how it was.

Personally I think it would be much better to have them blocked off with some sheetmetal and jb weld or something then fully open.

3 options:
-get new carb parts
-leave them alone
-or fix em at home

fixing them at home is the quicker, cheaper, and easier solution. so thats what i would do. others might disagree though.

Your choke will work differently i wold think, you might have to leave the choke partially open when choking to create the same effect the flaps do.

i could be wrong but thats my thoughts on that.

thanks alot for the input, I was just told that you really don't have to have the flaps, the choke will just be like 20-30 percent weaker. It's all based on how your bike just starts up
