Interesting yes, practical absolutely not. If he at least had the insight to make it symmetrical and put one on each side, I would have said that there was some thought involved.

If u look at the S&S set up on Harleys, they have a short 90 tube and a pod on the end.I realize they are 2 different bikes but looks like with a little T&E you could get decent flow out of that set-up.Plus glue a baffle or two on the outside edges of the plenum so u would "swirl" some air over into the inner 2 carbs and voila--I dont really know what u would have but interesting concept.bj

I would think NO, it wouldn't work well. Our exhausts exit through individual 1.5" tubes, but where they come together in the collector, the volume signifigantly increases. I believe the intake would work most efficiently on the same principle. Keeping the comon collector area the same size as the individual intakes should be a dramatic restriction in intake flow, and consequently power.

I've been playing around with a FJ600 that was left for dead and the airbox is long gone. It has bs32's and I didn't want to just use pods. I'd give it about a 7 out of 10 right now, been too busy with work to mess with it since putting it on.

That one is better but the outside carbs still have longer intake paths.

BTW, what the hell is that? A PTO?

Monoshock is adjusted with a crank that is hooked up with that belt. That area is usually covered up by the air box and battery tray.
