Shane, look to your' plugs. It's probable your' running lean enough to burn-off residuals in exhaust. I'm running 117's at 5-7K feet altitude. luck G

Would also sniff-test oil and examine its physical condition to determine whether there's any fuel contamination of the oil.

Here's why --- Mikuni smoothbore 29's do not have overflow circuits. If for any reason excess fuel gets past the float valve, bike parked or running, fuel may rise up in the carb and find its way to the crankcase.

Fuel-diluted crankcase oil would then be a suspect for the exhaust smoke.

Good Fortune! :)

If the old oil smelled like gas, the problem may recur.

Would keep a close eye on the oil level, where an unexplained rise could indicate fuel intrusion.

Different main jets won't resolve whatever issue previously existed.

Good Fortune! :)
