KZ440 Intake Boots

Question for the experts. Running into issues getting my 80 KZ440B started. I noticed that there is a tear on one of the carb intake boots (between the carb and head). What kind of negative effects woudl this have?

Also, what is the best place to get replacements? Is it even worth looking at a used set or does the rubber get hard making new ones the only option?

Thanks!

A tear in this location, or any other for that matter, can cause that cylinder to lean by sucking in open/unfiltered air.

= bad.

The crack can be repaired with an epoxy. Just squeeze it so the crack opens up some and poke the epoxy down into the crack, then let go and wipe away the excess.
Let dry, re-install.

Or buy new :P @ Z1ENTERPRISES

Thanks...I'll try to epoxy the tear.
