Does anyone have a source for pilots for the VM26 carbs? Checked Z1 enterprises, but the pilots listed say the do not fit KZ900 or KZ1000 carbs, which i take to mean VM26's. So whats a rider to do. My carbs i installed on my KZ650 are from a KZ1000, 120 mains, 17.5 pilots and they are really lean in the midrange. When i checked the needle clip position, it was all the way up, on the 5th notch from the top, which indicated to me that the P.O tried to mask the lean condition by raising the needle all the way. So anyone got any leads, thanks much. By the way, the bike is a near stock 1979 KZ650D with 26mm mikuni VM's, mystery 4:1 pipe and pod filters.
