Manual Petcock

Ive gotta 1979 KZ650 SR and I want to change my fuel petcock from a vacuum style petcock to a manual petcock. Does anyone know where I can find one?

I took a chance with the TU49-2600 for $12.99 and at first did not leak when off, but after a couple of months developed a drip. I will be upgrading this spring.

Another option for the extremely budget minded among us. :unsure:

You could also convert your vacuum petcock to a manual style. Here is a guide on how to do it. It's a different bike, but should be easy to adapt; the basic idea is the same.

Sabell, If you bought the petcock from Jeff,contact him. He had some problems with a manufacturer and i think it was the "o"rings that was the problem. Roy

I remember a discussion awhile back about that and purchased mine after thinking the issue had been resolved. That model does not have any internal o-rings though. I'm sure Jeff would take care of it I just haven't taken the time to take a closer look at it to see if it's operator error before making a call.

i use pingels on all my bikes like them long time
