Rejetting CVK30s where 2&3 mains are > 1&4

Hi,

So I've got my ZR550 carbs sitting split open on my bench in the basement, and before I put them back on the bike I want to rejet to increase my main size.

Right now it's jetted to (1-4) 108, 110, 110, 108, to account for hotter middle cylinders. If I get 5 115s from Z1, would I be messing with it too much? It's got a 4 into 1 stock exhaust on it, but I'm looking at putting pods on.

I taped up about a 3rd of the air filter for the latter half of the season and had great tan plugs, but no power.. so I figure an unobstructed air filter and larger mains will be really sweet..

So - 115s all across, or should I just go 112/115/115/112?

As soon as I can get this buttoned up, I can start on my KZ550 again! :)

Okay.. so now the question of size remains.

Is 108 to 115 too big of a jump, or should I go up to 112 on all 4? Z1E doesn't stock 112s, which is why I'm leaning to 115s, and it seems that going up by 5 is the norm...

if you had to tape up the intake to get a decent burn then i'd want to make a major step in oppisite direction at least 2 or 3 sizes go for the 115's, 110's would be just taking baby steps that is clearly not what you need to do in this situation.

The middle two cylinders are already 110s, so I think 112 at the least. I'll order 4 115s from Z1E and see what happens (can't really ride it now anyways, since winter is in full effect up here.)

To be clear: I didn't tape up the intake, I taped the actual filter. I reduced the perforated surface area using duct tape.
