carb questions for my kz400

Hi,
Couple questions from a newbie.
My kz400 carbs each have 3 hoses. One on the top, one in the side and one on the bottom. I know the top ones go to the gas tank, but where do the other 2 connect to???

Where can I get a rebuild kit or a set of new carbs?

Seach ebay for the following: kz400 carb kit
and up will come results with kits.

The bottom hose is for overflow. If for whatever
reason your carb float bowls fill up with too much gas, that bottom outlet is there to try and stop raw gas from flowing into the engine's intakes then down into the crankcase.

You can force the float bowls to keep filling up
by putting the petcock on 'Prime' if you want to
see this overflow working. Or, if for some reason
your float sticks and/or the float's valve ('needle valve') goes south and the gas keeps comin in, same overflow can happen -- TO BE AVOIDED.

The top hose is a breather to vent fumes and usually
a rubber hose routes toward the rear of the bike for those (or into an emissions cannister doohickey on later bikes).
