Kehein verses Mikunis?

I have a B1 KZ650 that I'm looking at putting in a GPz750 motor this winter as she's began to oil foul number four plug. A couple questions about carbs.

I got a '81 LTD750 with the big square top Kehein's on it. What carbs are these?

I have a line on a fresh set of VM26's, holders & pods for 200 bucks. Would these feed a hopped up GPz750 motor?

Which set of carbs would be better for a hot rodded motor? I like Mikuni's for the simplicity & original look but I'm poor & I already have the Keheins.... What would you do? Thanks for any help?

So the LTD motor's carbs are the BS34's?

Being poor, I think I'll just have to stick with the LTD carbs & rebuild them.

Ok, I keep hearing people talk about BS34's & thought these were them. So mine are CV34's then.

The reason I'm reluctant to use them is my first motorcycle was a '79 LTD400 with Kehein's that look very similar to these. Those diaphragm things (like the secondary umbrella in a holley vacuum four barrel)both had tears in them & I ended up spending more on the carbs than the initial purchase price of the bike! That's why I prefer the Mikuni's like what my 650 has on it now but they're only 24's.

he said they are coming complete with them or you can get 900 or 1000 intakes and open up the screw holes to fit the 750 head.

I think I'm gonna pop for the Mikuni's, I just don't want to run something I don't trust as much as I tour. I'd have to rebuild & rejet the Kehein's in the end so I really don't think I'd be much ahead in the end using them anyways. And if one of those diaphragm things are shot, I'd probably be losing money.

I kinda know the guy from online & have sold him a motor, I think he's a strait up guy. Plus he's throwing in a set of clubmans! With my rearsets, I've got to get some lower bars!

Thanks for the input guys, I know a bit more about carbs now.

BS 34 Mikuni's also use rubber diaghrams. The CV Kehein's have two butterflies the Mikuni's have one. Your call.
