Are those ebay ones emgos? I think they are sortof supposed to be like k&n clones, ie some cloth or foam matrix

they are not sold as emgos, but are probably made by the same folks.as it was explained to me by jeff at z-1, emgo doesnt make anything, they just farm out the work and have their name put on products.those ones you are eyeing have some name on them i never saw before...if i had to describe the quality, i would say they are a notch above an emgo as the rubber is a little thicker where they mount on carb...
like i said,short term they are worth the money...

I bought the J cams on ebay. It was a noticeable difference,
pulls harder up top.

Get the K&N or at least get the Uni pods instead.


The cheap emgo pods block the air poassages and cause nothing but greif. They can be trimmed, but it is easier and better to get a BETTER filter to start with.

Emgo mounted on a XS 650 Carb,. It clearly shows that the cheapoer emgo's block the passage.
