Choke lever
01 May 2009 23:14
Hi Fellas
What would prevent my choke lever from engaging into its fullest position? Its been perfect, but in the last week will not go into its full spot. It feels kinda spongy if that make sense so maybe fuel residue or crud??
Love to know your thoughts.
Cheers

Doesn't go all the way, or simply does not hold itself in position, partially returning?

Try tightening down the stop screw on the outside of the lever just a little bit. Mine started to feel similar to what I think you're describing and after tightening the screw all is right and well in the wonderful world of choke.

Cheers fellas, gave it a bit of a spray with WD40 and now it goes into its full posi but now does not remain in place, gave the screw a bit of a tighten. Stays in place for one motion then springs back into the full off position.
