Z1R Gas tank cleaning?

I put a little gas in the tank last night hoping to fianally start the bike. I closed the new $90 pingel valve, gave it a shake and opened the valve. The crap that ran our was UGLY. Looking inside the tank it looks OK with minor rust spots it must have crud deep int the folds of the sheet metal. What acid or solvent do I use to clear this up without damaging the tank? :S

I have had great success with the elctrolysis method....
but you HAVE to use a 10 amp charger as a minimum voltage source. A 2 or 4 amp charger takes forever to do the job.
The nice thing is that there are no hazardous chemicals involved.
My .02....

H2A Built from a genuine basket case. Yes,it's a hot rod.
GT550A Stock/mint. Pleasant stroker.

Various H2 projects in the wings.
