Long answer: As an example, on an 81 kz650 with stock exhaust and airbox my jets were 15 pilots, needle on the #3 clip, and 102 mains. Keeping the stock exhaust and replacing airbox with pods my jetting went to 17.5 pilots, #4 clip, and 112.5 mains. Both of these configurations yielded perfectly tan plug chops in all three carb circuits.
