81 csr 1000 petcock swap

Anybody know what petcock will interchange that has off position? Thanks Mac:side:

i'm pretty sure you will have to go aftermarket or maybe get lucky and kawi might still have them personally i always replace my stockers with pingel manuals but that is just my preferance.

unless you have a show bike, i would go with a pingel...great quality albeit a little pricey...but ya get what ya pay for....plus they are rebuildable if need be....i have a double feed one and its a nice pc....totally happy with it....just my .02..keith

not sure how far you can go on reserve with the one i have....it has one, but i never tested its limits...my bike stock has the small tank and i fill up b4 leaving town and do 60 miles on average
and i still have gas when i get back.....

Mike, I have the same bike, and need the same fix. Please let us know what your results are. What brand, model, etc. and how well it meets your needs.

I have the Pingel replacement on my CSR1000, it works great. I haven't tested the limit of the reserve, but can vouch for 10-15 miles riding on reserve. You do have to learn to turn the gas on and off manually, but I've found that fear of flooding my airbox is enough to make me remember.
If I remember correctly, I got mine from Z1 Enterprises--reasonable price, and comes with an adapter plate that bolts right through the original bolt holes on the tank.
I did have to enlarge the tank filter hole to allow the filter into the tank, but it only took about 10 minutes to do.
