using mikuni carb as throttle body

is it feasable to use a gutted out 38-42 mikuni carb as a throttle body just for the air supply side of a turbo motor while using seperate injectors plumbed into the turbos intake manifold for each cylinder with a computer to run it all?working on an old school looking turbo project but trying do do away with some of the old problems.

I would think you would need to figure out how to hook up a throttle position sensor, but beside that it should be possible.
