I would like to know if I have bad o-rings in my carb, would there be excessive fuel use, which most likely would be a yes? But also does it cause the bike to not drop rpm while riding? I ride my 1000 and it doesn't have to warm up, but I will ride it and in 1st I go up to 4000RPM and it doesn't come down till I change gears and slap on the clutch in gears 1 to 3. But my bike drinks gas like a hog, and I know my o-rings are flat, I seen them, just didn't have the rings when I cleaned it. So would those flat rings cause excessive idle during riding?

i don't think missing idle screw o-rings will do this. i have put carbs together with no o-rings before and they work fine. 4k rpm? sounds like a major air leak. just my 2 cents worth, i hope you find the problem.
