Some tools I dont mind buying on the cheap a torque wrench isn't really one of em.
I lost all of my tools several years ago in a messy divorce and until this build havent really accumulated any of them back.
If anyone has used one with I'd appreciate some input.

I did the same, but I checked it with a number of different weights (20, 40, 60, lbs).
From my experience, and what I have read elsewhere on the web, the "cheaper" clicker type torque wrench are reasonably accurate in the middle of their range, but can be way off at either end of their range, so I try and stay in the middle 80% of the range.
My 1/2" drive torque wrench is 10 ft/lbs to 150 ft/lbs, then I try and use it in the 30 ft/lb to 120 ft/lb range.

Good point! Especially on the low end of the scale; this is true of even the finest torque wrenches. Here's an excerpt from the CDI torque wrench site (CDI is a Snap-On company that manufactures torque wrenches):

"The idea that God is an oversized white male with a flowing beard, who sits in the sky and tallies the fall of every sparrow is ludicrous. But if by 'God,' one means the set of physical laws that govern the universe, then clearly there is such a God. This God is emotionally unsatisfying... it does...
