Ive been down the snap-on(strap on tools)road many times over the years, now i just hit them up for odd ball stuff i cant get anyplace else.
Ive got access to anything in the sears book i want, company has an account and everybody else in plant has mostly craftsman stuff.sears pissed me off 20 plus years ago when i was blowing my check through their catalog every week the prick bastards wouldnt give me a sears card since i was young and dumb and always paid cash for my bills(novel concept eh? )theyd take my money every week for years ordering through catalog though! rotten pricks
i actually like the kobalt tool line from lowes for at the plant, good stuff B)

ive got a complete set of the 1/4" through 1/2" drive rachets/sockets like these, the guys at plant gave me shit about them when they first saw them.
we needed to run nuts and washers down over 4 seperate pieces of 5/8 that were about 24" this morning to pull a motor into place on a machine, they all think those rachets/sockets are cool now! :woohoo:
if you look at the socket i brazed to my homemade tool the socket actually is part of the rachet once its installed B)

I bought my snap on tools in 1981. I like them but I won't buy that brand anymore. Just too darn expensive and there are other tools like the ones you posted that work just as good.

You dont measure a mechanics ability buy the tools he has.You measure it buy seeing what he can do with what he has.I gave up snap on a long time ago.Mastercraft is all lifetme warranty and I just swap em out at Canadian tire when they break.
