so they dont make a piston for this aplication then ,right,Art,Wisco,Mtc?there for this is not an option,right?is the crank change just like the j where you just change the cam towers? or is it a biggy?

yeah i know those pictures really suck!:blush:
yeah its a j/gpz cant remember which.that was my 1st serious porting job i ever did years ago im in the process of dollig it up now to use on my turbo im building;)

Tap those air injection nozzles for low volume oil atomizers.
Plumb them through your reed covers to a small pump connected to a small tank. Get some smoke oil from an aviaion supply company. Might take some experimenting for the best nozzle size and pump pressure. You'll be able to lose the cops for sure.

nah,i just put a toggle switch on my brake/taillight so i can still see in dark but they cant see my taillight!
not that i do that anymore!:woohoo:

I had always heard that a 900 head has more material in it so you can open it up more. So what's the best head as far as flow. and which head can be made to flow the most.

the j/gpz head will outperform the average ported kz head right out of box,a ported j/gpz head will really move a lot of air/fuel;)

If you are going to use a J or early 81-82 GPZ head on the KZ, you DO NOT have to change the crank. Just use the GPZ/J pistons and a .040" spacer under the block. You would only have to change the crank if you wanted to use the 83-84 bath tub head and wanted pistons with the correct dome.
This is a very common swap, we have everything for it including the cam chain idler for the top of the head.
The head in your photos is the early head.
