Yoshi exhaust ID
24 May 2026 22:10 - 25 May 2026 08:35
Hey yall,
I picked this up and was hoping someone could help me ID it - I bought it as a yoshi pipe, I'd like to get the correct badge. Spacing between rivets is 5.75" - it is marked 903om on back of the tab.
Thanks everyone!

I am not overly knowledgeable on what is and what is not a yoshi system. I have not see any info on IDs noted on them. I know there are different size badges that I have seen on line, but not sure all are real yoshi badges? Now the pics you posted look like one, in good shape it appears. Not sure if any data located on an old post here

will be of help with the ID. Used to be lots of pics, but most of them are now gone. But there is info on ID, OD, length ect there.

I just tried and got the same message 403. For some reason we no longer have access/rights to it. I hope it is not due to something I did with giving a link to it.

Thanks Wookie. for taking a look. Just so you know, I still get the same message. I would think something has changed a permission. It is not a big deal, not sure if there is anything there to help Mr E.

I sent your picture to Fujio Yoshimura. Awaiting a reply. I would say late 1970s very early 1980s but that's probably not news to you.

Sorry, I cannot help with the exhaust. I do have a question though, are the shocks mounted upside down?

Looks that was but no, those shocks are vintage Marzocchi and were designed / intended to be run that way.

I would say you are correct on the era as well - I saw one comment on the for sale ad saying this was a "Series 7" but I wasn't able to find much on that -

No they are mounted backwards. The reservoir is supposed to face the front of the bike but you can mount them any way you'd like, they are marginally better than OEM I guess. These are the shocks we all ran pre-Ohlins and FOX. I bought mine from an ad in CYCLE magazine ... from Cosmopolitan Motors.

I've known the Yoshimura family and most of the people who worked there, many who are gone now, for many decades. No I don't get any free stuff.
