No I used an oem gasket for the zx550 from ebay. I'm thinking it's my torque pattern. I think I'll get a new gasket from partzilla and give it another try.

Are you using the oil pan from the Kz, or from another Zx motor? Just curious.
You are probably aware the oil level sender of the Zx pan is not compatible with the oil pressure light of the Kz...
1981 KZ550 D1 gpz.

Oil pan from the zx. Nothing from the original engine is been used. Yeah figured out one has an oil level the other oil pressure. Just eliminated the oil light.
