I have valve stem gaskets and the exhaust gaskets on order. They should be here tomorrow. If neither of those corrects the problem, then I'll check the rings.

Hey. If it ran fine before the valve adjust, and now a dead misfire. I would be worried about valve to valve or valve to piston contact while adjusting. Could have bent a valve and/or broken a guide. Did you pull a shim on #4?

I got the valve seals today and replaced all 8 of them. When I did the valve adjustments, I didn't do anything to #4, just #3. When I replaced the valve stems, I checked all of the valve stems and they were all good and tight. I also checked for a bent valve and they all checked out good. I may have it back together tomorrow and hopefully all will be good. I post either way when it's back together.

I put the bike back together and it started up and no oil was squirting from the #4 exhaust port. The #4 pipe didn't get as hot as the other's but at least there wasn't squirting oil. I'll have to take the carbs back off and clean them to see if that would cause the #4 pipe to get hot like the others.

I took the cars off and when I took the bowl off of the #4 carb, the pilot jet was in the bowl. I guess I didn't tighten it up when I cleaned the carbs while they were off. Put the carbs back on and the bike seemed to run good for the short amount of time that I had it started. Hopefully I'll have time to see how good it runs tomorrow. Thanks to all for the assistance.
