i just fitted the Delkevic exhaust to my 82 750 and am very pleased. The quality is top notch. It's a little loud even with both baffles installed. I'm still using stock jets and the stock air box. It runs great, no signs of a lean condition. I have a wideband O2 gauge I need to hook up to it to see where the air/fuel ratio actually is.
As for eliminating the secondary air system, I just put rubber plugs on each of the bungs on the valve cover and vacuum caps on the carb ports. I'll probably end up removing the bungs and thread aluminum NPT plugs in for a nicer look.

2. Make some sexy aluminum plates to replace the top of each reed case, give the rest a toss. (See APE Raceparts for their version for the 900/1000 engines.)
3. Get a short length of hose to connect the reed boxes together and give the rest to a local landfill.
Instead of spending 50.00 + taxes & shipping for the fancy APE block off plates, I spent about 3.00 dollars for the hose & a couple of clamps
You can't even see it once the tank is on, & spend the 50.00 on some other goodies for your bike

Pete, my tank doesn't come down as far as yours does so I feel like the hose would be visible. But on a more important note, where did you get those engine guards? I've already laid her down on some wet pavement and had to replace the ATU cover and I'd like to avoid that in the future. Also, how did you get your parts so shiny lol?

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configuration
Adam, I bought my 3 point case guard from a Kawasaki dealer back in the early 80s for around 85.00, they cost 240.00 now
I Don't know if these will fit your LTD, because the 82 LTD is not listed, so I would call to verify if the will fit, there might be other models that might work, like an 82 CSR 650, but I'm not sure, maybe someone with more knowledge about the 82 650/750 models will chime in
and as far as keeping the parts on my bike so shinny, I have 3 girls in bikini's come over once a week to shine it up,

What do you mean by "secondary air system?" Are you referring to the tubes at the top of the cylinder head that the vacuum switch connects to? Why would you plug those up? Is that because of the pod filters?
You mention vacuum caps on the carb ports. I only have one that is capped. are you supposed to cap the two that normally connect to the vacuum switch?
I'm wondering if I should have done this a long time ago!!!

All unused vacuum nipples should be capped/plugged. Otherwise, an uncapped vacuum nipple creates a huge intake air leak.
