Yes, a VERY OLD thread. At least someone is looking in the archives for info though so it's all good!:laugh:
BTW, the '80 & '81 750's use solid engine mounts. Starting in '82 Kawasaki started to add rubber mounts for the engine and thus, the engine cases are different. The R1 for example has a rubber mount on the front. Other models got rubber mounts at both the front and the rear. Bottom line is that you gotta pay attention to what type of engine mounts your frame needs when selecting a replacement engine.

For the R1 GPz eng (750) the frame was modified for the rubber mount, not the engine cases. I put a R1 eng straight in a '77 KZ650B frame without the rubbermount.
I don't have a plan and I'm sticken' to it! '77 KZ 650 / 750 GPz custom project in progress
