Should blue or red locktite be used on re assembly? And do you use the 36 link set up still(between the arrows) for the cam chain timing even though switching to the KZ750 cam with the stock kz650 sprokets?
1978 KZ650 b-2
700cc Wiseco kit 10 to 1.
1980 KZ750 cam, ape springs, stock clutch/ Barnett springs.
Vance and Hines Header w/ comp baffle and Ape pods, Dyna S and green coils, copper wires.
29MM smooth bores W/ 17.5 pilots, 0-6s and 117.5 main
16/42 gearing X ring chain and alum rear JT sprocket.

Personally, my thoughts are yes and yes. Timing shouldn't be any different, I don't think - I can compare timing marks between the two cams. Locktite wouldn't hurt, although I'm not sure which would be better - would tend to think the lower strength would be better.
