The battery is brand new. I have no info on if the carbs were jetted for the elevation/climate. I bought the bike in Lowell MA and live on the south shore of Massachusetts. I will have to look at the spark plugs again to be more accurate later this week but I remember last time I checked (2 weeks ago), the ground straps were a greyish color with little if no carbon. I do remember pulling the plug out of cylinder #1 yesterday and the base ring was black and the ground strap was a bit darker compared to #2.

So I have made some progress. I lubed up the pivot points on the andvancer and nothing. I then bought a mulitmeter and decided to test the coils. The primary resistance is fine on both coils. I then checked the secondary and one was 22.5 ohms, the other 22.8 ohms. The manual says the secondary should be between 12-18 ohms. Could the higher reading contribute to my issue? Also noted was that my spark plug wire connections from wire to caps are a bit crappy. One in particular I had to tape to tighten the frayed insulation. Surprisingly after I did this the bike ran much better. It is bogging less in high gears, more responsive, accelerates faster, and sounds smoother. I wouldn't say that it is 100% yet. I will buy some new wires and hoping it will be back to 100%. The high reading on the secondary coil still worries me though.

does anyone know if it is O.K. to use solid copper core spark plug wires with my electronic ignition? or do I need the suppression ones?

I have copper core wires on my bike, running a Dyna-S ignition, Dyna Green coils, and Dyna copper core wires.
