I just got ~30.3mpg when I filled up today. Must have done a lot of coasting.

I want to switch air filters to UNI pods and go to a slightly taller gearing. Right now my bike is spun tight around 60mph.

My 900's never done better'n about 30mpg but I've never been able to keep the wick low either.

If I wanted good mileage I'd buy a scooter, Yechh! There's lots of cars that get better mileage than my bikes.

Of course my F250 power joke has never done better'n 12.5 MPG either.

Wonder what the problem could be???

I just checked my miles today and I got about 36 mpg.

I have the '80 G1 with EFI. I mostly drive it to work, about 16 miles/day. Last week I took some short rides and put on about 50 miles in 2 days.

I think that 1 tank is good for about 100 miles on my bike.

One other thing, and I know this sounds stupid, but my bike seems to run better with a full tank of gas (duh).

When I get around 85-90 miles on a tank, it starts to sputter and its harder to start. I also get this popping noise when it idles. I am wondering if it has something to do with the fuel system since it doesn't do that when full.

Anyway, I am sure that most bikes run better with gas in the tank:lol:

1974 900 Z1 with factory 28's K&N pods ( not Emigo or whatever ), LTD exhaust system, Dyna coils and wires, Dyna S ignition.
I do tend to get into it from time to time ( every few miles  ) And am STILL having a too rich problem on #1:blink: But am pulling down about 31.5 MPG most tanks.
Factory says I should be getting 40 MPG @ 70 MPH.
Sure....

I am getting 100-110 miles to a tank,(3.5 gal's). I have trouble staying out of the throttles:whistle: My fuel mileage whent from 127 miles to a tank to 100+/- just by swapping a 130/90 18 rear tire to a 110/90 18. There is a 1 inch diff between the two in overall height.I also did a 530 chain conversion. When the rear tire wears out, I'm going back to a 130 rear tire. I commute 140 miles a day, so fuel mileage is a major consideration.
