You gave a very good suggestion the other day. It was about using turbo pistons with the compression raised a little.
yeah theres plenty of hard running small motors out there,it comes down to whether or not you know how to put it to the ground.

Quote from Larry C when doing my research into what performance I was looking for.... I guy in his area had a 1045cc motor, forget which cam & carb setup but said the guy was untouchable for many seasons...
Basically was kickin the crap out of everyone with that little motor setup... Big 1075's & huge CAM/carb guys just couldn't figure it out on how this little motor was cleaning their clocks....
Outside of our wives/GF's, bigger is not always better!

The angle of the photo makes it a little hard. It looks like your basic 10.25:1 or 10.5:1 piston. It has one compression ring and a one piece cast oil ring. It's not a high dollar set up but it will get you on the road. I have seen some of these pistons, last for awhile. I would suggest keeping an extra set of rings, tucked away.

the biggest i'll go with the stock 900 sleeves is 1015cc any more than that it is getting real thin and those pistons look more like 12-1's from where i'm sitting that will be alot for the street.use a real thick head and base gasket on that block if those are the pistons your using do you have anyway of getting rings for those pistons because with those pistons you will build up a lot of heat.

Without a doubt, head decking measurements will be required desired gasket thickness ... Dang those things are tall!
As I ran into the need for different base gasket thickness, schnitz racing has a pretty good selection of gaskets....

What were you thinking of doing, with the bike? Tell us about what you will be using it for?

Not sure yet? I do have a few 900 motors that I can build from. Maybe a bracket bike? It was one of those deals where I couldn't say no.

When you say bracket bike. Are you saying "bracket bike ridden on the street" or "bracket bike only"? Then I would ask, how fast? Big budget or small?
