After finishing my ST a few days before leaving, my dad and I took off on a Road Trip through SK, AB, BC, ID, OR, and Washington
Our route, ended up doing about 5400kms (3375 miles) in ten days
Our first night in Lethbridge
Sparwood, BC
Just over the border near Bonners Ferry ID
Above Lewiston, ID/Clarkston, WA
Deschutes Nat'l forest in Oregon, interesting lava field down the whole valley
By the McKenzie River
Chicken strip on the new tire
Most important:
Sea lions near Florence, OR
The coast
There were some pirates in one of the towns for some reason
We camped out near the marina somewhere around Astoria, WA. Woke up when the fishermen started moving out at around 4:30am, the fog was like rain
There was a classic car show that had ended the same day we were heading up the coast, these three were going the same way we were
Waiting for the ferry at Port Angeles, there were more bikes on the ferry that day than any of the staff had seen before, probably about 40 of us. This guy was at the classics show too, 1946 Harley
Heading back on the ferry over to Victoria
Back in BC, heading to Osoyoos
Stopped at the beach in Osoyoos
Waiting for the ferry at Kootenay Lake, this is Sandy's part of the country
Heading back home, last day was about 530 miles as there is nothing worth slowing down for once you get out of BC/AB
Bike worked well, saw some beautiful roads especially in Oregon. The mountain passes were pretty empty and had lots of fast cliff-edge corners as well as 1st gear banked over hairpins. Only odd thing was some strange wear-marks on the tires that you can see in this picture. They started to wrinkle up a bit even though they were at the right pressure the whole time. Still nice soft good handling tires though and a pretty good trip!
