Thanks for sharing it's great to hear these stories. I've ridden my wife's KZ650 quite a bit and I'd say that bike easily out handles a stock Z1. In the tight stuff it doesn't really matter how much motor you have. I thought about Avon AM22/23 race tires for that track day but realized I'd be replacing them within a month and they are not cheap at $400 a set. Can't say enough about how good these Roadriders are, though...

Awesome write up, Sander! The track bug bites hard and it doesn't really let go. I did my first track day in Nov 2008 and have been hooked since. If you're going to be doing more track days, definitely look into getting a one-piece.
