Great article.  That pretty much explains our obsession with the Z1's and KZ's.

Exhaust Notes is a cool site with great topics and writing.
Joe Gresh perfectly described old school power delivery.

"The big long cushy seat is a marvel of comfort."

AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!  About as comfortable as sitting on a slab of 3/4 inch plywood!  My Z1 is a great ride....for about a half hour.  Handling wise I prefer my KZ1000 LTD.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

I think 3/4 plywood is what they used instead of foam inside the seat

I never have a problem with factory seats, even on hours long rides, though many complain about the same seat.
I also ride a bicycle so the way I see it, if I can spend all day on a seat the size of my hand, by comparison, a motorcycle seat is like sitting on a sofa.

I guess at least after a day in the saddle of your motorcycle you don't need to massage "nut butter" into your delicate parts

So do you spread it on your nuts???

indeed you do, still I'm not surprised if you had been sitting on this all day. "Improved comfort"
