This is me this afternoon, pondering on how to sort out my leaky carb/petcock problem. ' not a big deal' you may think but combined with a recalcitrant clutch, it was doing my head in and I just had to put on my bikini and lay down to rest on a (modern) Kawasaki.
If this is offensive to anyone,I apologise, but my KZ wasnt available.

Always remember to wear proper riding gear. More seriously though, I just picked this up yesterday and haven't gotten it insured yet. First bike and all that stuff, figured I'd make it something I won't outgrow in a month.

Im sad to see a post like this.
My 7 year old son is growing to love bikes and we were following my post together, looking at the pics of ppl and their marvelous bikes, until you posted this. I cant scroll through this and let him see the pics anymore. Im teaching him to respect, and not objectify women. The subtext of this photo is women and bikes are possessions. There's a big difference between a motorcycle and a woman and I just dont dig this. Sure I want him to be like any other red blooded male and appreciate the stunning beauty of a woman, but not like this, not some woman draped across a bike with nearly nothing on. This is a still photo of what goes on in a strip club and posted in poor taste. . Im not perfect and Im not judging you, but this is light porn and completely inappropriate and immature, Not happy with this at all. We all love vintage bikes and they still have a place in the world, but not a vintage mindset.....or vintage values of this kind. I dont have a daughter yet but my god i would never want her to think posing like this is cool, or that she is any mans possession

When you go to the beach, you will see the same attire. Also, if you take him to a bike event, even in the future, he will see beautiful women in bikinis. She is not back view with a thong or topless. Everyone is soooo offended these days. Relax and enjoy this thread. Everyone else is enjoying adding their pics of our proud bikes that we love and sharing with other people of the same era bikes. Tom

I agree that ppl are way too offended these days but my point, perhaps, hasnt been made clear.

My wife is european. we go to nude beaches. My son sees nudity all the time. Not a problem. Its the CONTEXT of that photo, a woman draped over a bike is a clear signal that she too is a possession or item to be possessed. Its not how I want him to see women. Too much of that "bro" culture going on and this is what makes young men treat women as objects, things to be conquered and not respected. I think its terrible. My parents ALSO raised me NOT to see women in that way. Sure my dad was a bit lenient, but still. If you had a daughter, would you want her posed like this? No.
